15th April 2015: Salisbury Museum Lecture "The Life and Death of the Flint Axe"
I was invited by Salisbury Museum to give an evening lecture on "The Life and Death of the Flint Axe". This was based on my 2014 University of Southampton BSc dissertation of testing different British axe materials and comparing them experimentally (until destruction) for efficiency of felling trees.
This was my first lecture at the museum and I was joined by an audience of around 50, including many members of the museum. Amongst those present was former Time Team archaeologist Phil Harding (below).
