Ötzi the iceman replicas
Ötzi the Iceman, also known as “Frozen Fritz” or the “Hauslabjoch Mummy” was found with a collection of copper age artefacts which included an axe with a copper blade. AncientCraft’s Ötzi the Iceman Replicas are carefully made using archaeological literature and James’s understanding of the materials, allowing him to produce replicas that are extremely similar to the Iceman’s original tools.
“For all of our historic replicas that I use with schools on site at La Hougue Bie and within classrooms, James has made axes, flint, polishing stones, axes and they are absolutely wonderful teaching aids as well as being beautiful objects. He has made objects that are particular for our island, such as using local dolerite rock to make a polished axe.”
