Arguably the most special of objects from Neolithic Europe are Jade axes. These artefacts have been found across Europe, mainly in France and Northern Italy where the rock naturally outcrops at Mt. Viso and Mt. Beigua. It's likely these axes were symbols rather than tree felling tools.
