About

You'll knap your own tools in a practical workshop and learn more about Stone Age Sussex with exclusive access to objects in the collection, specialist talks and walk. Day One (Saturday 6th April): Practical flint knapping and exclusive object handling of Stone Age items from the museum collection at the museum. Day Two (Sunday, 7th April): Join Worthing Museum's Archaeologist James Sainsbury on a special guided walk to Harrow Hill to learn more about the unique Sussex landscape and its special flint mines. Join experimental Archaeologist Dr James Dilley and Worthing Museum Curator and Archaeologist James Sainsbury for a weekend devoted to fabulous flint! Knap your own Stone Age tools, get a closeup with some highlights from our archaeology collection and enjoy a curator-led walk exploring one of our unique local flint mines. All materials and tea and coffee are provided, but you will need to bring your lunch. Saturday: 10:30am - 4pm Sunday: 10:30am - 2:30pm
