About
Archery has connections in many parts of society today, as a sport and symbolism in many parts of the world while some groups still use it for hunting and social displays. But what are the origins of the bow and arrow? We typically think of it as a technology of the Stone Age, but the Stone Age is very long, and how did it develop? Many of us know the latter chapters of archery from the Medieval period to its modern portrayal in films such as Robin Hood (1908 - present) or Henry V (1989)/The King (2019) to name a few. Learn where that story begins with a look at archaeological evidence from around the world.
