About the ANCIENT CRAFT Site

I am craftsman and reenactor who works with ancient technologies. I have over 6 years experience of flintknapping and I have worked for museums, archaeologists, heritage centres, film companies and geologists in research and experimental work. My goal is to encourage people of all ages to learn about ancient crafts and have some appreciation of daily life for people in the past.

This site is dedicated to archaeology, including ancient craft and technologies dating from pre-history through to 10th century. This includes lithics (also known as stone technology or "flintknapping"); wood; leather; metals (like iron and copper) and cloth (linen and wool).

Information and articles are constantly being created and uploaded onto the website, so watch this space for new sections!
